Hana Endale is an undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree as a Law major at Carleton University. Hana has a particular interest in the criminal justice system and the ways in which the legal system impacts marginalized groups. She is concerned with understanding how race, gender, and wealth intersect to affect individuals’ experience with the criminal justice system. Hana seeks to find alternatives to the punitive legal system and aspires to see a community-based system that acts preventatively by addressing systemic social issues.
